    RULES AND PROCEDURES

    SETUP AND SOUND CHECK:

    • Location: We are located at 3506 Gardenia St, Sarasota, FL 34237.
    • You should plan to set up on the day of your performance. You can set up anytime after noon. Most groups set up around 3 or 3:30 pm, then do their soundcheck before the show starts.
    • The performing group provides and operates their own sound equipment.
    • Ed will be available while you set up should you have any questions or need access to the garage.
    • Groups are allowed to set up a table to sell cds and other merchandise related to the group’s operations such as hats, t-shirts or other souvenirs.
    • DISCLAIMER: Ed’s Music disclaims, and your group agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ed’s Music from all responsibility for any claims arising from your group’s operations or sales of merchandise and souvenirs.

    STARTING TIME:  6 PM

    • The evening begins at 6 pm. Please be ready 15 minutes before (5:45 pm) to speak with the MC.
    • We will have an MC assigned to your show. The MC will introduce your group and make some announcements.
    • Ed’s Music is considered a Christian outreach. Groups should attempt to have approximately 80% of their songs be gospel in nature. The rest can be love songs, classic country, etc. – refraining from songs about drinking, cheating, and wild living.

    HOW DOES THE OFFERING WORK?

    • Ed’s Music will provide an opportunity for guests to make contributions to the performing group by way of passing baskets through the audience during a break in the program.
    • Around 30 or 40 minutes into your show, the MC will come back up, say a prayer, and manage the offering.
    • The balance of the offering will be given to you at the end of the night by Ed or Marie.
    • DISCLAIMER: Ed’s Music disclaims any responsibility for and your group shall be solely responsible for any tax consequences related to such offerings / contributions.

    HOW LONG SHOULD WE PLAY?

    • Most of our groups play an hour and a half, from 6 to 7:30 pm. If you plan to play longer, please wrap up by 8 pm.
    • Depending on the weather, some groups may only play an hour if it’s a cold evening. You make the call if you need to wrap up early due to weather.
    • For rain outs, we will work with you to reschedule for another night based on openings in the schedule.

    FACEBOOK and YOUTUBE:

    • We have a large following on Facebook and YouTube. (The links are listed above.)
    • We currently have over 500,000 views on our YouTube channel.
    • We will be Live Streaming your show for our FB followers.
    • Following the show we will upload to YouTube.

    BATHROOM:

    • We have a portable-potty for the public to use. It has running water and flush capabilities.
    • Coffee is sometimes provided for donation.

    TEAR DOWN:

    • Following the show, please have your group tear down as soon as possible. The audience may want to come up and talk with you, which is fine, but we like to have everything cleared away by 9 pm.
