Ed's Music

Ed's Music began some 30 years ago when Ada Detweiler decided to open her home for musicians to sing and play music in the Pinecraft community. Amish, Mennonite and community folks have enjoyed many evenings of good bluegrass, country and gospel music over the years.

Spring Blossom Bluegrass is a group from Davies County, Indiana. They are known for performing traditional bluegrass and gospel music. It was a cold evening with temps in the low 50's. John Schmid, Jeff Taylor, and Dennis Parker were at Ed's place this evening. What a great time we had listening to a blend of country, folk, and gospel music. John Schmid is involved in a singing and prison ministry - Common Ground Ministries, in Berlin, Ohio. Jeff Taylor is an accordion player with the Vince Gill Time Jumpers; Riders in the Sky and a house band member of The Grand Ole Opry. Dennis Parker is a recovered alcoholic and guitar player for Ricky Skaggs.
