Facebook Live Volunteers
Thank you for volunteering to do the Facebook Live Streaming for our concert. Here are the instructions to help you know what to do.
How to Live Stream with Facebook:
Ed will have the tripod and the phone ready for you when the concert starts.
BEFORE THE CONCERT STARTS:
1) Open the Facebook app and go to the Ed’s Music group.
2) Click on the box that says “Write something” then scroll down and click on Live Video.
3) Tap to add a description – type in the name of the band. Then click Done.
4) Now make sure you TURN THE PHONE SIDEWAYS so the FB view is landscape when you put it in the tripod. You must do this before you start streaming. You won’t be able to fix this once you go live so double check the FB view is sideways.
WHEN THE CONCERT STARTS:
5) Tap Go Live when you are ready to start the live video. Let the video feed run until the end of the concert.
Note: you do not have to sit and watch the phone the whole night. You can enjoy the concert or get up and move around. Just keep and eye on the tripod and the phone so it doesn’t get stolen.
WHEN THE CONCERT ENDS:
6) Tap Finish when you want to end the broadcast. You then choose to post your video. Make sure you choose to POST THE VIDEO.
7) When you are done, please give the tripod and phone back to Ed.
